ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Jamie Kaminski is the president of HSR Zero Waste. He is an internationally sought after speaker and educator known for his expertise in international best practices in Zero Waste and internationally accepted Zero Waste policies and programs.

As the lead policy advisor for Zero Waste Canada (ZWC), and board member of the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA), Jamie represents the Canadian reference

point for internationally accepted Zero Waste policies. He works with fellow policy advisors to create strong, practical, and enforceable policies that drive change towards Zero Waste.

With 30+ years of active engagement in the waste diversion industry, Jamie has developed extensive experience in understanding how regional policies and bylaws affect the existing waste management system from the perspective of the service provider, the client, as well as the region as a whole.

Jamie also has vast experience moderating and presenting locally and internationally at Zero Waste conferences from the United States to the Philippines. Some of the topics include Zero Waste in Canada, the Zero Waste Hierarchy, and Metro Vancouver’s Disposal Bans.

He is at the forefront of HSR Zero Waste’s industry-leading training and Zero Waste consulting programs, supporting organizations across Canada to achieve and exceed their Zero Waste mandates. In 2025, HSR Zero Waste was named Top Environmental Consulting Service Provider in Canada.
