ABOUT SITE

In an ever-changing global business world, the most prized asset remains constant: excellent performance.

Business leaders are constantly seeking creative ways to unlock human potential. One of the most powerful tools at their disposal is motivational experiences—including travel and events—which reward a job well done and offer ways to grow and be more effective.

Only one organization sits at the critical intersection between those who seek these motivational tools' benefits and those who can provide these extraordinary experiences. That organization is called SITE.

SITE makes possible the connection between motivational experiences and business results. It is the only global organization dedicated to linking professionals in the travel and motivational events industry with the business leaders who seek improved performance through these experiences.

SITE has been defining this industry since the organization was formed more than three decades ago, as the Society of Incentive and Travel Executives.

President's Message

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear members and friends,

As we step into 2026, I can’t help but feel energized by everything happening within SITE Canada. Our chapter continues to grow, connect, and lead — and it’s all because of the incredible community of incentive travel professionals who make up our membership. Simply put: if you’re passionate about incentives, this is where you belong.

I am filled with pride as I take on the role of SITE Canada President. Pride in our industry. Pride in our Chapter. Pride in each of our members. We have a great assortment of individuals from different companies, specialties, ages and cultures who are collaborating and building life-long relationships. I am also incredibly proud to reflect on the momentum and accomplishments of SITE Canada over the past year. Our chapter continues to grow, evolve, and thrive — a true testament to the passion, commitment, and collaboration of our members.

I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to our sponsor and partner community. They value the ROI in supporting SITE Canada – and their commitment allows SITE Canada to deliver meaningful programming and memorable experiences for our members.

Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year. From new twists on the traditional educational sessions to sustainability-focused initiatives, social events and signature members only experiences, our calendar is designed to bring people together, spark creativity, and strengthen our community. Whether you’re new to incentive meetings and travel or a seasoned pro, there is something here for you.

We have a few annual events that our members love – which keeps everyone coming back for more! We just completed our most successful SITE Exchange, where 27 planners and 27 suppliers from across North America gathered in beautiful Mont Tremblant. This event not only provides 1:1 discussions, it showcases the destination, trending culinary and entertainment, and drives home the level of excellence that SITE is known for. A heartfelt thank you to our hosts, partners, and supporters who helped bring this experience to life.

In February our SITE Canada chapter members will be representing Canada on the Global stage at SITE Global conference in Abu Dhabi. We have received a number of awards at this conference, and these moments reinforce Canada’s position as a world-class incentive destination and underscore our collective leadership within the global SITE community.

Our Annual General Meeting and Chapter awards recognizing outstanding volunteers, leaders, and programs will be held in Toronto in March, followed up in April with a Vancouver regional event focusing on Sustainability and Young Leadership. Mentoring is such an important part of chapter, and growing our young leader roster is a priority.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, we have exciting events lined up that you won’t want to miss as a member, non-member, sponsor or industry partner. These events include some “Members Only” educational events, the infamous Summer Social, and the 2nd year of bringing back our SITE Golf Tournament. Mark your calendars for Monday, August 10th, as we kick off CMEE Week with this fun day of laughter, camaraderie and oh ya – golf!

The latter part of the year will bring some unexpected surprises for educational opportunities and some holiday cheer at our December 2nd Holiday Social.

As President of SITE Canada, I want to thank all of you for being part of this vibrant chapter. SITE Canada is more than an association — it’s a network, a support system, and a place where lasting relationships are built. Together, we’re shaping the future of incentive travel in Canada and beyond.

A heartfelt thank you to our Board of Directors and to Bradley Sutherland (2025 President) for his leadership and dedication throughout the year and into 2026 with his Past President wisdom (and wit!). He and the other executive leadership continue to influence our Chapter as we move forward with a great membership base, strength, confidence and momentum. We are also looking for the next President-Elect, so please reach out to myself or any of the Board of Directors, if you are interested in creating an impact in our network and in your career.

Great things lie ahead, and I encourage you to stay connected, get involved, and continue shaping the future of incentive travel with SITE Canada. I look forward to working and networking with all of you this year.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
