ECPAT is a network of organizations and individuals working together to eliminate the commercial sexual exploitation of children around the world. It seeks to encourage the world community to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free from all forms of commercial sexual exploitation. SITE Canada is pleased to partner with ECPAT on Wednesday September 27th, 2017 to host a special screening of the movie SOLD.   Please join us in creating awareness and learning more of what we can do to protect our children.

SOLD is a film adaptation of the globally acclaimed novel by Patricia McCormick, starring Gillian Anderson and David Arquette. Based on true stories, SOLD is a story of a girl who is trafficked from her village in Nepal to a brothel in Kolkata, India. Through one girl’s extraordinary journey, SOLD illustrates the brutality of child trafficking which affects millions of children both domestically and globally. Although the story takes place abroad, this is a very real issue here in our neighborhoods. By bringing this film to a wider audience, we can mobilize our community and our private sector partners to take action and make adifference in the world.
